Trying to find some shower doors in Morris county NJ, I was stuck with some insane options! I didn’t know what to look for or who to turn too. There was so many different styles that I wasn’t sure what be the best for me when picking out a shower door. I had a great guy guiding me through the process though and explained the benefits and the downfalls of many options.
One of the things that he taught me was to look for either glass or acrylic. Depending on what my life was like, chaotic or easy going, one might be better suited for me than the other one. I told him that I had kids and they are a little wild. Which that, he told me we should be looking for acrylic doors instead of any other option. Acrylic offers a level of forgiveness that glass doesn’t. Acrylic, or plexiglass, is more flexible. If something hits or bumps into it with enough force, it will bend with it and not break under pressure. This sounded perfect!
When we got it narrowed down to acrylic, he showed me different styles. There is the classic plain panel but with acrylic, I could have gotten designs or textures for the door and panels. I was amazed to learn that you can’t have those on glass, and if you did have it on glass it becomes more of a liability due to the pattern or texture making the glass weaker. I had no idea any of this was a thing at all! I took full advantage of being able to have a texture and picked a linen texture because it looked very southern home, which is what I wanted for my New Jersey house!
It wasn’t no time when all of the fixtures and the shower was picked out and then put into the home. I was shocked at how easy it all was after we got the ball rolling. I can’t think my shower guy enough because I adore how it all looks and it was so easy to get it to come together. He was very good at explaining every detail and helped me decide on what I would need for my own own. Only in Morris county would you get that kind of service!
